Although Ultrasonic cleaning has been around for many years and used predominantly in the medical and electronics industries the process has developed and become more controllable as technology has progresses. Our three stage Ultrasonic cleaning process is specifically designed for cleaning lighting reflectors, louvres and components.
The Ultrasonic process involves a specially constructed tank containing water and a cleaning agent where high frequency sound waves are generated causing bubbles in the liquid to rapidly grow and imploded on the surface of the item being cleaned. This action called cavitation rapidly removes dirt particles on a microscopic level millions of times a second.
Why use Ultrasonic Cleaning for Lighting Louvres and Fittings?
The highly polished reflective surface of most light fittings is extremely soft and easily damaged on contact with abrasives, even dusting off with a soft cloth scratches the surface of the reflector. As soon as the reflector or louver is damaged the efficiency of the light is reduced. Attempts at cleaning with jet washers and sprays leave the louver water stained and often more contaminated than before.
Ultrasonic cleaning involves no physical contact with the louver. The process is far more efficient at cleaning than all other methods. The action of the imploding bubbles or cavitation in the Ultrasonic tank combined with the cleaning agent not only removes dirt particles effectively but also reach areas of the louver that otherwise are impossible reach, leaving the louver spotlessly clean with no sticky residue or water staining.
The speed at which this process works enables us to clean the large quantities of reflectors contained in most modern commercial and office buildings.
With quick turn around times and minimal or no disruption, our proven system is the only effective solution for lighting cleaning.
